In the midst of all this heavy and serious discussion, let me inject a
not of whimsy:

Supposing our new distro was a TUI instead of a GUI, but a very advanced
TUI. Wouldn't that make updates *really* simple? Two toolkits: slang and
ncurses. ;-D
