I can't speak from a position of experience here, but SugarCRM (
http://sourceforge.net/projects/sugarcrm/ ) has an Open Source version
that is regularly featured in Sourceforge mailings. I haven't tried it
(it's not relevant to anything I need to do), but it might be worth
checking out.
