I had not heard about this case and, as a teacher myself (as well as
being a normal human being), I am horrified that such a miscarriage of
justice could have taken place (a great pity that the author of the
spyware was not sitting in the dock instead).

I do hope, however (if this isn't too flippant a remark to make), that
not every 'David Smith' is tarnished by the same brush, as I, myself,
have never been a prosecution lawyer...
