Just came across this on LWN:

I wonder if this would be suitable for groups of missionaries in
remote locations to share files with each other and their supporters?

It would assume they have broadband, but it's available mostly
anywhere now.  I had it in Shell, Ecuador and I know a missionary
family in an undisclosed Central Asian country that has it.
