fwiw, I know there are "secular" e-riders groups which target helping int'l
NPOs with tech. They may or may not be possible allies.

One way to do tech work from anywhere is to create it yourself. :)

Get a dedicated server and host sites on it.  Do custom programming and site
maintenance.  Of course, that's somewhat competitive, but if you're good you
should have enough clientèle to pay the bills, and even make a decent
living.

I'd kind of like to do that myself someday.  My ultimate long term dream is
to be in a ministry that travels from place to place, and do this kind of
work to fund it.  I have an idea; I may share it with this list some time to
get input.
