If you download the .iso to Windows, you can do the checking on Windows
with the program found here: http://digestit.kennethballard.com/
Or, you can copy/download the .md5 file to the linux box (it's a one
line text file).
Or, you can check the actual cd you burnt on linux by checking the
device file (md5sum /dev/hdX) and comparing that to the .md5 file.
Or...
Or...
There are many possibilities. I'm not sure exactly what you are asking.
