The same question could be asked of the citizens of Charlotte, North
Carolina or (your city here). Look, we may very well debate the role of
the saints, the method of Baptism, whether the gift of tongues is a
commandment to be followed, and even church polity. Still, we are all
united in showing the love of God toward others. Every believer seeks
to do this in practical ways.

I have seen churches from various denominational affiliations working
together in Charlotte on a variety of projects, ranging from empowering
local residents to take ownership in the problems facing the community
to sending material donations to Africa and other countries. These are
mere examples; yet it is a practical exercise in following our King.

The Kingdom of Heaven is, yet is still coming. This government, if
you're a fan of Marty E. Martin - or perhaps Fred Craddock or F.F. Bruce
- is, but is not yet fully consumated. Note that I am not arguing that
the Kingdom of Heaven is in full force (i.e., perfected on Earth) - but
that it is in force.
