I don't know; I've never tried. I know they're terminal emulators, but
they're probably pretty specialised. They may not have the ability to
connect to actual serial lines and do the negotiation required, etc. I'll
do some research and see what I can come up with.

Minicom is probably the best one out there, and it'll be great for your
needs. I use minicom myself when I reflash my router for firmware
upgrades.
