[CS-FSLUG] CD ripping speeds

First of all, have you checked your CDROMs to see if one is labelled
"true 16x" and the other as "32x max".  A lot of CD-ROMs are sold as
(eg.) 52x max, but this performance only applies to the outer portions
of the disc and reading will be slower otherwise.

Also, google for some information on DAE (digital audio extraction). 
Different speeds for different sorts of operations...
