Are we assuming that the SMART 1 european team decided
to add the lunar lander and flag to an image for old
times sake. Maybe they like us so much these days that
they decided to give our government a hand with those
darn conspiracy theorists. Or perhaps, when
photographing the moon's surface, they just picked
interesting places to photo.
