Let's not be quoting one another out of context, Alvin.  I said:

My point was that since our government is a secular one, it is nothing
short of hypocracy for it to interfere in the lives of its citizens
based solely on the word of ANY religion.  Ours included.  I agree that
homosexuality is a curse, and that homosexual actions are sinful.  I
simply don't see what bearing this has on a secular government.  A
theocracy would be well within it's rights to act as our legistators
have with regard to homosexuality, but then, we've all seen what else
theocracies can lead to (*points to Iran and Afganistan*).
