[CS-FSLUG] Knoppix's colorful boot

I am playing with Knoppix 3.3 on an older machine. Installation is not
problem, but I can't recall the slick trick to recover that colorful
boot text sequence. I can't think of any Google terms that would make
it a short search. Anyone recall seeing this explained?
