Radio shack (The Source [branch of circuit city]) has an AMD sempron
powered Acer on for CAD $899, I've been considering that instead but I
don't know how well Linux will work on it. To be honest though, I
don't know if I will put Linux on it because with my latest problems
with SUSE I don't know if I'll be using Linux any more.

Just to let you know how far things have gone, I downloaded Debian
which I had always considered my last resort since my previous
experience with it wasn't great. I may consider Mandrake again, but
that's about a fifty-fifty chance.
