I went to the shop today and have [nearly] settled on:

Case: Raidmax Cobra (Blue)
Mobo: MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum (MS-7125)
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 939 (Venice core)
Memory: Kingston 1GB DDR
Graphics Card: Gigabyte PCX5300 128MB DDR TV/DVIm (+ DVI cable)
Hard Drive: Seagate 80GB 7200 SATA
DVD Burner: LG
Mouse: Logitech Pilot Optical (PS2 or usb)
Keyboard: Generic
Speakers: Generic
No floppy
(all for 3870 shekels, including the assembly and tax -- 4.6 to the dollar)

I already have a USP and will, when I save some money, probably invest
in a new [Zalman] power supply.

Thanks to all who gave advice :-)

Blessings,

Nigel
