Yum Brands is sending a letter letting those of you who have written know
they will not be advertising on 'Desperate Housewives' stating (in part) "...
We determined that the content of the program is inconsistent with our Media
Ethics Guidelines. ... As a result, we have notified ABC and have pulled
advertising from the balance of year ..."

Write Yum Brands and thank them for their responsible decision.
Tell others.

Good for them! They didn't just go "quietly in the night," but had the
fortitude to write a letter stating clearly their intentions.

Sunday night's "Desperate Housewives" exemplifies the satanic nature of this
program. How can anyone think this is entertainment? And to think that some
people sit down and watch this program with their children or allow their
children to watch it. It boggles my mind.

Here it is again in case you missed it yesterday. If you didn't miss it, it
bears repeating:

" ... ABC portrayed perversion as acceptable and ‘exciting’. It
portrayed manipulation and degradation as a willing act of love
by a wife.

Disclaimer. This material is toxic. ..."

This is network television. A wife, Bree, realizes that her husband, Rex, is
losing his interest in her so she asks him what's wrong. He tells her he
wants to be dominated, and she sits down and watches X-rated videos with him.
Later, he pulls out his handcuffs and she incorporates the ideas that he
wants.

I have witnessed obscenity trials. I have seen how the pornographers work.
Sunday night's "Desperate Housewives" could have been a paid advertisement by
the pornography industry. But, little by little, isn't that what television
has become?

All the more reason why we write the advertisers. It only takes a few minutes
each day. All we can do is what we can do, but what we can do we must.

Obviously, Yum Brands got the message. So many of you hung in there. The
loss of KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut ads amounts to
hundreds of thousands of dollars of advertising revenue.

Rejoice today and write letters. I urge you to read the
synopsis. Tell those corporations what you think about them advertising on
such degradation.

The following companies remain "hardcore" advertisers of
"Desperate Housewives".

Toyota - you current and "would be" Toyota owners need to contact Toyota - See
their advertising record --

It is very helpful when a company comes directly out and states
that they will no longer be advertising but very few do.
