[CS-FSLUG] Linux to expensive ?

As you may be aware I have recently taken a support role at a hosting
company. Yesterday after talking to my new manager about the dedicated
servers he informed me that the company will be migrating away from
providing Red Hat as it apparently is not as cost effective as it used
to be. This is due to a revision on their licensing. When comparing to
Windows 2003 server the costs for the company and end user will not be
as attractive anymore. I am going to look into this as it sounds
horrendously like Redhat may be shooting themselves in the foot again.

What is nice for me though is that they are going to be providing
Debian, which I might add is pronounced irritatingly by my manager as
"dee bian." Ill sort that out though.

Just want to find out if anyone knows more about the costing structure
changes of Redhat and their products?
