Hi Mark!

At the moment I am not looking this information to any particular 
hardware (this thread was started by David when he had problems 
installing linux to his neigbors computer - I just got curious when I 
saw "hardware ID"'s mentioned), but I think these kind of things are 
good to know for the future.
