Here is what im finding on the internet about this type of computer:

Sound Support
Digital Audio (16-bit)
Included Sound Card
Sound card - PCI - integrated ( Sound Blaster 16/Pro )

Ok It was suggested I make sure alsaconf was installed, well I couldn't find
any mandrake packages of alsaconf, but It does have alsa installed.

Also, according to the information above, I tried using soundconf to configure
the Sound Blaster 16 and Pro and I get this error:

the following error occurred running the modprobe program:

WARNING: /etc/sndconfig-PaUhXo line 2: ignoring bad line?
  starting with 'probeall'
  FATAL: Error inserting sb
  (/lib/modules/2.6.3-7mdk/kernel/sound/oss/sb.ko.gz):
 No such device

I checked to see if it was there and sb.ko.gz is there in the path above.
