[CS-FSLUG] LCMC?

That is a fair question. LCMC stands for Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ. LCMS stands for Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. LCMC does not require its churches to be members of any specific district (or a district at all), nor to we require our members to place membership only with LCMC. Indeed, a good many LCMC churches are either ELCA/LCMC or just LCMC. The LCMS has taken issue with the ordination of women and as such has it as policy that women can not be ordained. Conversely, LCMC allows for the ordination of women, but it is the congregation that determines whether or not it wants a woman as its pastor.

Now, I can not answer every question on LCMC, but you can find out a good deal more about them by going to:

http://www.lcmc.net

which is the official website of LCMC. Hope this helps.

In Christ,

Christopher
