[CS-FSLUG] PD: CPUSA & Kerry.

It's always amazed me how much a Christian Linux newsgroup can talk about
politics more then the two basic ideas this list was made around, and how
seldom Linux even comes up in this list.

Please, no more politics! I would rather deal with a discussion on the
trinity or exorcism or reformation history or anything else. I am tired of
hearing and reading about politics. I live in the United States and I am
sick of hearing pro-kerry or pro-bush messages. I am also sick of hearing
about apathetic voting (that is when you vote for one candidate merely
because you do not like the other candidate, not because you actually
support the person you are voting for). Now, having said that. I am a Bush
supporter. I confess that he has not been as effective as I would have
liked, but he has had to handle one of the toughest situations we have ever
been through in our nation. He was president on that fateful day three years
ago when two jets crashed into the world trade center in New York and one
crashed into the Pentagon building. I sincerely doubt that Kerry, Edwards,
or even Gore, could have handled the situation as well.

Now, with that being said, I still believe that there has been to much talk
of politics on this listserv. However, if politics must be discussed, then
try this one. LOGA, the lobbyist group of the ELCA, has written a letter to
the United States congress opposing the Federal Marriage Amendment. This
amendment would define marriage in the United States as being one man and
one woman for life. However, given the ELCA has recently ordained its third
practicing homosexual pastor in the tri-cities (I can send an attachment
proving this).

It is issues like this that we need to focus on.

In Christ,

Christopher
