[CS-FSLUG] making file execute when first logged in

I am trying to make a file that I created run when I log in to kde.

I made the file executable and put it in my autostart folder, but that only
opens the file when I log in, so I tried moving the file to /usr/bin but I am
still having to issue the command ./keycodes to execute the file so it will
run.

Does anyone know how I can have this file execute when I log in?

Thanks
