Hello,

My name is James Thompson, some of you have heard of my article over
on Libervis that is getting much more attention than I anticipated and
my willingness to do whatever I can to aid the spread of FOSS in the
church. Just so you have some background in case you didn't read the
'About Me' post on Libervis here is brief bio.:

I am 22 years old and a student at the New Orleans Baptist Theological
Seminary. I work full-time at the seminary as their Web Administrator
to support my wife Pam and baby daughter Marissa. I accepted Christ at
the age of 17 back in 1999. I have a desire to share the good news
with those I come in contact with but also to serve the church with my
technological gifts. I run a free-lance web design, development and
hosting outfit called thompsonsites at http://www.thompsonsites.com
and have one active project I am working on called Atheteo which is a
web hosting control panel written in perl.

I currently have a single dedicated server hosting some of my web
sites which I have offered to use as a starting point for a new
Christian FOSS news site. I already own a domain: openministry.com and
could get slashcode running without too much hassle. What I really
need is a group of people to act as moderators and submitters to kick
start the community. If we can get that I can do the design and
administrative details. Heck I can even notify the churches in the New
Orleans area of the site and get the ball rolling in that arena where
I am.

I'm willing to do what I can if there are other like minded folks who
are willing to do what they can.

So I hope I can be of some service.
