[CS-FSLUG] Seeing/connecting to another HD installed

My apologies for this long delay in reporting. You probably don't want
to get a complete recital of all that has kept me busy the last month
or so. (sigh).
But I'm happy to report that I was able to get at that Win Data on the
transferred 40 GB drive. I had to re-install Mandrake, but then I was
able to simply copy/paste from that drive to the Win area on the 10
GB C:/ drive. The Win at C:/ simply could not see that drive no-how!
Now I have another similar problem with it. I decided to let Windows
have the whole 10GB C:/ and claim the 40GB for my Linux
programs. I deleted the Mandrake partitions I'd had on the second
half of the 10GB and turned it into a FAT32 or Windows partition. But
my Win98 OS still cannot "see" or access it. The 5.8 GB space I
gave Win originally is too tight.
Nothing in Settings seems to help. Should I be doing something in
Bios?
I hate to mess in there, as that's how I locked myself out of the older
computer. I can't even raise bios now in that one.
On the other hand, I saw that the 1st install disk of Mandrake has a
Windows rescue area. Dare I use that to help Win98 see it has lots
more room to use?
As of this week I have to take time off from work to get ready for
Christmas house guests, so I'm not pushing my transition to
Mandrake so hard. Just trying to get basic stuff done in Windows,
like move another site! Everything seems to create more files.
I do appreciate all of you, but lately have just steered all the emails
into a folder, which now contains 255 group emails. Guess I'll be a
while skimming through all those, eh?
Blessings & Thanks,
Ruth
