You bet.  The grid came down my road last summer, and passed me right by.  I'm 
no longer the last house on the road, and the new guy brought the power in.  
I'm surprised that the power company hasn't been trying to get me to connect 
but then, they probably think I'm already connected - they come by trying to 
read my meter :-)
